RawHide Trailers
Why Rawhide?
1.You
may ask, what is different about the Rawhide Interior vs. the
competition trailer?
We build our trailers from the ground up at Premier Trailer, the interiors are installed in house and are not sent
out to a conversion company as other "mass production" companies
would do. Our trailers are sold directly to thru our Premier
GS dealer Network, resulting in more "hand's on"
experience, better service, more options and faster turn around
times...and best of all...lower price for quality!
2. Well
all that sounds good so far, but what about the interior quality?
Our interiors are installed by horse riding folks, local people
as yourself that ride many, many weekends out of the year.
They know what works and what doesn't. Our layouts are
tailored more towards the individual's needs. As far as
quality, all the cabinets are hand made. We purchase the oak
wood rough cut, plain it ourselves, finish it ourselves. Even
the moldings are made from solid wood, no "veneer finish" or plastic
or pressboard which falls apart with moisture. Many competitor
trailers use plastic moldings, pressboard cabinets on many of their
interiors. Things that look "pretty" from the outside but are
lacking in quality and workmanship upon close examination which will
not hold up over time. Our interiors are more like the kitchen in
your home, not the kitchen in a camper or RV.
3. Well
I've always heard that aluminum trailers are much lighter.
Right and wrong. Aluminum weighs less than steel but is also about
2/3rds weaker than steel, resulting in needing 2/3rds more material
to get the same job done. Our Premier GS Series trailers are as
light, and often times lighter than competition and can be towed
with any 3/4 ton pick up truck. A dually is not required.
4. Hhmm,
we'll some of my friends suggest to purchase an all aluminum trailer
because they will not rust and are lighter! Steel Trailers Rust.
Again, True and False. Aluminum trailers do not rust but will
oxidize over time. As with anything in this world made by humans, it
will deteriorate without maintenance, even the baked on paint finish
will fade. With our Premier GS Trailers, they will not rust
nor will the material oxidize. We feel that a horse
trailer should be able to hold up to the stress of the largest horse
that will be hauled in it. It needs to be tough and durable,
especially in the floor and frame areas, which take most of the
pounding and stress.
A horse trailer
does not need to be over built (and too heavy) which is why single
sheet no Rust Galvaneal works well when used as outer skin, fenders
and roof. By using this lighter, rustproof material as well as a
sturdy steel frame, the weight can be kept down and strength is not
compromised as it is with an aluminum trailer.
Try riding in a horse
trailer yourself. There is a lot of "flexing" going on. Steel frames can
take the stress and flexing involved with long horse trailers while
aluminum will flex and bend, then, CRACK or BREAK, resulting in
maintenance. We can put you in a Premier GS Steel Frame, No **Rust
Galvaneal skin trailer, without rust, virtually same weight, normally
LESS in price and with GREATER quality Living Quarters than competition
can do. Visit a dealer near you today to find out more.
